Acupuncture has been an integral part of Tradition Chinese medicine and has been used for around 2000 years. Acupuncture is based on the Classic TCM principles of flow and movement of Qi. We have network of Meridians in the whole of the body and along that meridians, acupuncture points are located. Every acupuncture points has specific role in restoring, promoting, maintaining and balancing the health and wellbeing.
Pain or illness can be a sign of imbalance in the body therefore stimulating specific acupuncture points corrects imbalances in the flow of Qi (energy) through the channels known as meridians. There is an evidence based clinical research that Acupuncture can treat a range of health conditions. National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) decided that acupuncture should be made available on NHS for chronic back pain which proves that it is effective hence considered as a part of NHS in UK.
Every client is different although they have similar conditions therefore on the first visit, full diagnostic consultation will be taken on with the consideration of their health, lifestyle habits and their surrounding environment effects on their life. Prepack ultra-fine sterile needles are used only once for health and safety regulations. Acupuncture is a gentle and effective treatment that focuses on helping the whole person, aiming to improve their entire health and wellbeing.
